Veteran broadcast journalist, eddy aina heads schools debate panel
The General Manager, Sweet FM Abeokuta, and veteran broadcast journalist, Mr. Eddy Aina has been appointed Chairman, Panel of Judges of a National Primary School Debate organised by Tripod Media Company Limited
Penpushing reports that, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tripod Media Company, Dare Adedotun in a statement said the debate is in collaboration with late Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation (AOJF).
The statement said the inauguration which was held virtually was attended by stakeholders in media and education, among whom are top management of the sponsors, Taidob College Asero Estate Abeokuta including the Principal, Mrs. Hope Jiboku and Directors, Obawunmi and Idowu Jiboku as well as Mrs. Taiwo Emmanuel.
Penpushing further reports that, the foundation Director, Engr. Idowu Jiboku, explained that the debate is to mark 70th Posthumuos birthday of the founder of Taidob Group of Schools, Prof Abayomi Jiboku who he described as a strong supporter of education in his lifetime, hence the partnership with Tripod Media Company to further build on his legacies.
The Director Taidob College, Mr. Obawunmi Jibokuin his remarks said the competition, which is open to Basic Five and Six pupils in public and private schools across Nigeria, has 70 prizes to be won including full scholarship, free tuition and partial scholarship from JS1 to SS3 in the school, among other educational materials.
Penpushing also reports that, the panel chairman while describing the online debate as a laudable initiative, affirmed the commitment of the team to be fair to all contestants, advising participants to play by the rules.
