The International Press Institute (IPI) Nigeria has concluded arrangements for training of senior journalists, aimed to build editors’ capacity in media laws, ethics, and fact-checking, as well as to remain ethical in the noble profession.
Penpushing reports that the Administrative Secretary, Linda Dooyum Kpum made this known in an invite sent to the participants, adding that the training is packaged for two days, with the theme, ‘How to Avoid SLAPP Suits and Remain Ethical’
The invite stated that the training is scheduled to hold between 11th and 12th October 2023, at the Amber Residence Government Reservation Area (GRA) Ikeja, Lagos State, and equally highlighted the goals and objectives

Penpushing further reports that the invite emphaised that the training’s goals include: to improve the credibility and ethical foundations of media organizations, to save the media from the danger of lawsuits that can distract, hamper operations and destroy organizations.
