Nigerian student wins Queen’s Commonwealth award

The Royal Commonwealth Society, United Kingdom has adjudged Mujeebat Idris of Ansar-ud-Deen International College, Oke Ata, Abeokuta, Nigeria the bronze award winner in the 2021 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition.

Penpushing reports that, the online International Essay Competition which brought Idris to global reckon is titled, “Post Covid-19: If I were President”, a work that was adjudged of good quality by the Royal Commonwealth Society

The Chair, Royal Commonwealth Society, Dr Linda Yueh; Chair, Junior Judging Panel,Paul Edmondson and Chair, Senior Judging Panel,Imtiaz Dharker, signed the certificate confirming Mujeebat Idris award.

Penpushing further reports that, the judges established the winner’s creative innovations and ideas with the Commonwealth family in the keenly contested online International Essay Competition.

“Thank you for participating in The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2021 and for sharing your creative innovations and ideas with the Commonwealth family. We are delighted to inform you that your entry was given a Bronze Award and are pleased to attach your printable award certificate’, the letter reads.

“We encourage you to continue expressing your ideas through writing and harnessing the power that your voice holds within your immediate and global community. Congratulations on your achievement, This is to certify that the Royal Commonwealth Society, on the recommendation of the judges, has awarded this certificate to Mujeebat Idris.”, the letter added

Penpushing also reports that, Idris,a poet, who recently completed her West African Senior Secondary School Examinations (WASSCE), was Senior Prefect at Ansar-ud-Deen International College, Abeokuta, and  has won several prizes for her College in essay and debate competitions.
