Ogun state government warns workers against ‘ZaZoo Zehh’ hairdo

The Ogun State Government has declared to go tough against any of its workers found with hairdo ascribed to the fast rising vulgar musician, Portable popularly called ZaZoo Zehh, as well as any of them with painted of nails and unethical make up

Penpushing reports that, the warning was contained in a circular issued and signed by Dahunsi Ogunleye, a Permanent Secretary on behalf of the Head of Service, stating that it has become noticeable among the workforce, which is said to be against civil service dress code

‘It has become noticeable in recent time, abysmal manner some officers in the state civil/public service dress to the office. Suffice to mention that some  civil/public servants affixed colour hair, painted nails and unethical make up indiscriminately, which  are outrightly indecent, immodest, unacceptable and against the mode of dressing in the public service’

Penpushing further reports that the circular dated February 3, 2022 lamented that the unethical dressing among number of staff was becoming alarming, hence, need to put a stop to it before it get out of hands

‘The issue of unethical dressing among some staff is becoming alarming and the need to address the situation has become preeminent. In accordance with Ogun State Public Service Rules 04314b which states that ;No officer shall appear in the office or anywhere in his official capacity dressed  in a manner considered inappropriate or immodest’, it has therefore, become imperative to curb this menace before it gets out of hands’, the circular reads

Penpushing also reports that, the circular emphasized that, any officer(s) found wanting will be dealt with accordingly as the public service rules provided, and tasked all agencies on need to ensure compliance of the order

‘To this end, any officer found culpable of violating the above rule shall be dealt with in accordance with the provision of the Public Service Rules. All Government Agencies are requested to ensure strict compliance with the content of this circular’

‘And kindly note that non-compliance with this rule will attract appropriate sanctions. Kindly give this circular letter the widest publicity it deserves. Thank you’, the Permanent Secretary emphasised
