Multi-million naira events hall, Heritage Events Centre berth in Abeokuta

A multi-million naira events centre known as Heritage Events Centre located in Laderin community of Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital has been commissioned for immediate take off of social and conference activities.

Penpushing reports that the project which is designed to accommodate of 650 guests, sited at Block 5, Plot XV, Olubankole Mafe Avenue is the initiative of two brothers Wale and Tunde Soniregun, also has hotel facility called Heritage Courtyard with state-of-the-art equipment.

The Iyalode of Yorubaland, Iyalode Alaba Lawson led other dignitaries which include some traditional rulers to cut the tape for the soft opening of the centre, which has spacious parking space for guests at any given time for activities.

Penpushing further reports that friends of the owners of the project flew in from United States of America (USA) and Canada to be part of the epoch making events, which was the talk of the town, as number of guests expressed satisfaction about the edifice.

The Manager of the events centre, Bosede Ayeni-Ijabiyi while reeling out features available said it include: One Stop Service Building, 650 seating capacity, Well-furnished changing rooms and uninterrupted power supply, dedicated caterers kitchen and service areas.

Penpushing also reports that she disclosed that other features are separate convenience room for male and female, 16 number of 3.Ohp air conditioner, ample parking space, security safety, standby professional technical team and web post of clients’ events after occasion

The ceremony was in the same vein ignited with music supply by the popular Awarawa music band,led by Adegoke Adegboyega as guests could not hold back their excitement as they displayed their dancing skills in commemoration to the commissioning

Penpushing reports that the guests were equally treated to sumptuous meal, and they dine and wine, while the   Soniregun brothers could not hide their joy throughout the ceremony which lasted for six hours

The Managing Director Heritage Court Hotel, an arm of the company, Adeola Soniregun in his own speech reeled out facilities available for the comfort of the guests, which include affordable and befitting rooms, as well as conducive environment

Penpushing further reports that the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Heritage International Wale Soniregun in his welcome address said the project was part of the management vision and mission in providing employment and rendered meaningful services to the society

The Company boss narrated how the hospitality business came full circle, explaining that the event center became a child of necessity when he was planning for the burial rites of his late mother, adding that the zeal to also pay back to the country in way of employment generation, youth empowerment and unlocking the business potential in him also contributed to the establishment.

“When then President Olusegun Obasanjo visited the United States, he encouraged some of us who has one business or the other abroad to return home and contribute to the socio economic development of the country’, he said.

“However, there was a caveat. The challenges were enormous. So there is this fear in establishing business in Nigeria, who is going to run it? This was also the time that businesses are moving out of Nigeria to Ghana because of power. The bureaucracy is not friendly to establish but they keep insisting”, he added

Penpushing also reports that in his own remarks Tunde Soniregun advised governments at all level to provide the enabling environment for business to thrive, emphasisng that more diasporans will return home to establish businesses when the conditions are right.

“It is necessary for government to create an enabling environment for business owners, and entreprenuers, as they cannot employ everyone. Individual contributions is also needed to bridge the unemployment gaps. We are here today and it’s a thing of joy knowing that this little contribution can keep food on the table for some people”, he added

Penpushing further reports that among dignitaries at the events include top business moguls, politicians and traditional chiefs, which includes Chief Joju Fadairo (Former People’s Democratic Party state Chairman, Baamofin of Egbaland, Chief Sunday Oduntan, Abiodun Lasile of Sixth Sense, Chief Segun Odegbami and Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji(Founder Penpushing Media) amongst others.
