Kaftan Television ace cameraman Sanni Ismail bags 2025 best photo journalist award in Ogun State
An ace photo journalist cameraman with Kaftan Television Sanni Ismail has added another feather to his cap having been adjudged the year 2025 best photo journalist in Ogun State with an award and certificate
Penpushing reports that Sanni was singled out by the Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) following recommendation from the press week anniversary commitee during the press week of the union held between Sunday and Saturday October 3, 2025.
The renowned cameraman was presented the award at the grandfinale of the union press week held at events centre of the Nuegate hotel and suites located in Agbeloba- Ita-Iyalode axis of Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
Penpushing further reports that the colourful and well packaged events was witnessed by dignitaries which include Ogun State Deputy Governor Engr(Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Kehinde Onasanya(Ogun State Head of Service), Senator Shuaib Salisu, Hon Gboyega Isiaka, Olu of Itori Oba Fatai Akamo, Balogun Lai Labode and Senator Lekan Mustapha.
The other notable personalities are Dr Sikirulai Ogundele(former chairman,Ifo local government) Otunba Dare Onafowokan(Special Assistant on Communications), Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji(Founder Penpushing Media), Mrs Remi Olugbenro(General Manager Paramount F.M Abeokuta), Prof Tope Popoola(former Ogun State Commissioner) and Sesan Bankole(Veteran Photo Journalist) among others
Penpushing also reports that the announcement of Sanni as best Photo/Cameraman of the Year received thunderous ovation from his colleagues and other guests at the ceremony, as he walked to the podium to receive his certificate of award beaming with smiles.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) leadership in conjuction planning committee at the ceremony further reaffirmed Sanni”s competence in the profession and emphasised that he was adjudged the best on merit.
Penpushing reports that the awardee speaking to journalists after receiving the award expressed appreciation to the union for the honour bestowed on him, stressing that the award will further spur him to continue doing and practising what he knows best, and equally gave glory to God for the feat.
