Nigerian movie actor, Majek begs Nigerian Government to fight piracy to standstill

The Nigerian popular actor, Majekodunmi Emmanuel Temitope popularly known as Majek has appealed to the Nigeria Government to come to the aid of entertainment professionals in fighting piracy in the industry to a standstill.

Penpushing reports that the Nollywood actor made the plea in an exclusive interview with Penpushing Media at the organization’s corporate headquarters located within the  premises of Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The Abeokuta born actor lamented that, the illegal activities of pirates continued to give members of the entertainment industry sleepless nights, pointing out while the pirates smiles to banks over the sweat of the actors, the actors on their own party are languishing in poverty

Penpushing also reports that, he used the opportunity on calling on upcoming actors and actresses to be determined, focus,  and imbibed creativity as well as ensuring that their loyally to the profession is 100 percent.

The entertainer equally spoke about his background and role in the film industry, adding that he graduated from the University of Lagos,(UNILAG) in 2015.having studied  Business Administration.

The popular artiste said his love for the profession can be traced  back to his childhood days and was determined to be a success, and gave kudos to a veteran actress, Opeyemi Bamidele who he said trained him, as well Okiki Afolayan who God has used to assist him.

‘I started acting in 2017, but I can’t be become anything today without this wonderful woman ,a veteran actress, an ambitious, strong woman, boss and who trained me for three months, in person of Opeyemi Aiyeola’,he added

Penpushing reports that, he disclosed that he  has produced many films, which include  movie titled, “Kileyi’ ( what is this), his maiden production, and  featured some important veterans which include, Faitha Balogun, Bimbo Oshin, Iyabo Ojo, Bimbo Ogunlowo and Tope Oshoba.

The actor said the movie brought him to limelight, adding that one of his leader in the industry Okiki Afolayan was so impressed that he encouraged him not to relent in his efforts in adding value to the industry

Penpushing also reports that, he disclosed that another of his production is titled,  Sogigun which he said  went viral, and remain one of the leading production across the globe, adding that so far he has seven productions

The actor whose mother hails from Akoko town of Ondo State gave identities of his productions as include: “Kileyi”(what is this), Sogigun” ( be cautious),”Ninu Aye”)(inside world),Ona Egbin, ,Egun(the curse) and chameleon (oga).

Penpushing further reports that he expressed appreciation to his parents who he said gave him maximum support, and also commended his wife who he described as prayer warrior

The actor who revealed that the profession had offered him opportunity of travelling to United Arab Emirate(UAE), called on Nigerian Government to encourage artiste in order to promote our culture, our heritage, our pride and to move forward in terms of African cultural diversity.
