Ilupeju Kotopo community development association elects new officers

The Ilupeju-Kotopo Community Development Association located in Odeda local government area of Ogun State has elected new executive officers to run its affairs for specified period as contained in its constitution

Penpushing reports that the new executives who were 11 in number were elected unopposed through open ballot and they include; Dr. Joshua Oyewusi (Chairman), Safiat Ogunyomi (Vice Chairman), Adewale Michael (General Secretary), Abosede Adekolurejo (Assistant General Secretary), Gabriel Faluyi (Treasurer), Bolanle Badmus (Financial Secretary), Mosopefoluwa Olayinka (Public Relations Officer)

The other officials are; Abel Adedoyin (Youth Leader), Babatunde Amao (Social welfare), Mulikat Jeje (Women Leader) and Peter Akinbode (Auditor), while the Ex-officios were: Alhaji Akin Elias and Adebisi Ogunniran.

Penpushing further reports that, the newly elected Chairman, Oyewusi, in his address said that it was least expected of him to become the next Chairman  of the community, adding,. “well, just as I said during my acceptance speech, I least expected that I will be nominated and elected, but it has happened and I don’t have any other choice  than to accept it”

Penpushing also reports that Oyewusi,  a lecturer at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), also promised to improve on the unity, peace and security the community has been making use of.

“The plan is to make sure by the grace of God, the unity, peace and kind of security that we have here is maintained and even improved upon”, he stressed.

Penpushing also reports, that before commencement of the election, Electricity Committee Chairman, Gabriel Faluyi unveiled reports of the committee to members,disclosing  that Zone A generated total sum of ₦1,467,000 with outstanding debt of ₦67,000, while zone B generated ₦989,000 with outstanding debt of ₦221,000,

The Committee Chairman added that, zone C generated total sum of ₦1,848,000 with outstanding debt of ₦940,000 and zone D with ₦1,075,000 and outstanding debt of ₦616,000. Adding  that the report is at 25 May, 2020, while another report would be out by June 26, this year
