IBARAPA POLYTECHNIC INCREASE WAGES OF WORKER BY 50%

The Chairman added further that the council has reviewed and approved the increment in wages of its workers by 50% with immediate payment from this month of May.

 ‘50% has been added to the wages of the part time lecturers of the institution who are not government employee, the council led by me has also increased wages of non-academic staff of this institution, who are not government employee with 25% across board, while the wages of the academic staff who are not government employee had been increase by 50%’.

Penpushing further reports that, on non-accreditation of some courses in the institution which has deprived ex-students of the school to be mobilised for their compulsory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, Ogundiran pointed out that the council is now getting solution to the problem, noting that there has been a lot of improvement within the shortest time the former management of the institution had been suspended.

“We are now getting a clear picture of when the accreditation of the affected courses will be done, and very soon, those affected students will be going for their NYSC”, he explained

‘Efforts of the Governing Council is now yielding positive result in favour of the staff and students, particularly the affected students as a result of the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by the council, staff and student union to work together to provide solution to the problems of the students generally’.

“Oyo State Government has giving us close to a billion naira to resolve this issue, we just want the students to give us little time do that we can resolve the problem”,Ogundiran disclosed

Penpushing also reports that, the council boss pointed stated that he will be going to Kaduna State in the coming week to meet with the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) concerning the accreditation of the students courses which will allow them to be mobilised for their program.

The Governing Council Chairman, however, expressed  appreciation to  the out-going government in Oyo State led by Governor Abiola Ajimobi for the support so far, adding that the institution hope to enjoy more from the incoming government.
