GOVERNOR AMOSUN LEADS OPPOSITION PARTY CHAIRMAN TO MEETING WITH BUHARI

He, thereafter declared that he would work against the Governorship Candidate of the party in the State, Dapo Abiodun, who was flagbearer the National Working Committee (NWC) approved after the party primary.

Penpushing also recalled that, the development forced Akinlade and his supporters in moving to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), to use the platform to participate in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

The Governor has blamed the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, and former Governors Bola Tinubu and Segun Osoba, as responsible for his political ordeal, describing them as Capo de tutu

Penpushing further reports that, despite warnings by the National leadership, of All Progressives Congress (APC) to  Amosun, he has  continued to  romance with the opposition Allied Peoples Movement (APM) .

However, at the Akinlade’s campaign launch held at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, the National Chairman of Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Yusuf Dantalle presented him, the party flag and announced adoption of Buhari as the party Presidential candidate.

Penpushing further reports that, Akinlade was also handed over a letter of Buhari’s adoption, which he subsequently handed over to Amosun, for onward transmission to Buhari, the Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC)

 The Governor, who is a Senatorial Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday headed to the Presidential villa in Abuja to officially delivered the endorsement letter to Buhari, in company of the chairman of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM)

Penpushing further reports that, Amosun while speaking with State House Correspondents after a closed door meeting with  Buhari, explained that the endorsement letter was given to him by the party for onward presentation to the President.

The Governor expressed optimism that with the endorsement,  Buhari, whom he described as a man with a good heart, would garner massive votes in the 2019 presidential elections, adding that, “you will recall that just last week we made public that APM has adopted President Buhari as their Presidential candidate’.

“I had promised to bring the letter they had given me to present to him and that is what we came to do today. And you know Mr President is a very gracious human being, he is a man with a good heart. He (Buhari) said if a party has adopted him, it is only fair he acknowledges the party and the chairman. That is why we are here”.

The Governor, a known  close ally of the President, declared that, his action justified his support for the Allied Peoples Movement(APM) stressing that  the party had endorsed Buhari and therefore deserves his support.

“I have said that anybody that is for President Muhammadu Buhari is for me, we will embrace such party, such persons, such organisations, wholeheartedly and that is what I am doing and that is what we are doing in Ogun State. Clearly Mr President will have a massive vote in Ogun State in the coming election;, Amosun boasted

Penpushing also reports that, the embattled Governor,  refused to comment on the threat by  Oshiohmole to expel him from the  All Progressives Congress(APC), but  vowed to ensure electoral victory for Buhari in Ogun during the 2019 general election.

Hear him, “I don’t want to comment on that. We came for this, let’s restrict ourselves to this. I want my president to win, what else do you want? We must win, that is it.”

The National Chairman of Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Dantalle in his remarks described the adoption of Buhari by his party as the best thing that happened to the party and the country at large, adding that the party is a coalition of people of like minds.

He said   the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party took the decision to adopt Buhari because he is the only one that can restore Nigeria back to its glory of where it needs to be, adding that, “personally, I believe in him and reason being that I love my country and I don’t have any other country apart from Nigeria;.

The opposition party boss added, “and Buhari is the only man with the sincerity of intent to take Nigeria to the next level. This is not the Nigeria I was born into but I see that Nigeria coming back only through Buhari.”

Penpushing also reports that, Dantalle expressed the hope that Buhari would win the 2019 Presidential election in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with a wide margin.
