ASSISTANT INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE CHARGE COMMISSIONERS ON ADEQUATE SECURITY AT ELECTION

The Assistant Inspector General  directed all the Commissioners of Police in the zone to ensure robust security in their respective States Command, assuring adequate protection for electoral officials, electoral materials, local and foreign observers.

Penpushing further reports that, the police chieftain also enjoined  electorates  that they should go out without any fear or intimidation or molestation and exercise their franchise on that day.

He however promised that the Police would be professional in their conduct, adding that disciplinary action would be taken against anyone who may want to cause violence and truncate the electoral process.
