Apostle Achudume calls for national re-awakening as Nigeria turns 60

The General Overseer of the Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume, has called on political class responsible for the administration of Nigeria to be nationalistic in their day to day undertakings for the country to progress.

Penpushing reports that, Achudume made the call in his message as the country marks 60th Independence Anniversary, stating that, the problems currently plaguing the country are not insurmountable if citizens seek the face of God, asking for His divine intervention.

The known frankly speaking cleric, while frowning at the surge in corruption, pointed out that once the leadership is on the right path, the followership would follow suit, noting that God has been magnanimous to the country

Penpushing further reports that, Achudume, stated that despite the raging storms, divine guidance has kept Nigeria and Nigerians strong and united, and also lauded the contributions of the youths to nation building.

The clergyman charged the youths to keep the faith and continue to make meaningful contributions to national growth and development, lamenting that problems which include kidnappings, banditry and insurgency among others have been order of the day.

Penpushing also reports that, the cleric expressed optimism that things would certainly get better if the security apparatus function optimally, and also called on the citizens to trust and accommodate each other, and should be patriotic as well as remain a united entity.

The General Overseer reflecting on this year’s independence logo, ’60 Years Together’, called for intensified prayers across board, cautioning those calling for break-up of the country to have a re-think and jettison such negative thought, declaring that in unity and togetherness lies strength.

Penpushing further reports that, Achudume while congratulating Nigerians advised those in positions of authority to use the occasion of the 60th anniversary to chart a new course for the country.
