2019: WOMAN DEFEATS STEPSON TO CLINCH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TICKET

The Returning Officer of the election, Abba Gambo, while announcing on Wednesday disclosed that, Khadijah scored 1,295 votes to defeat her step son, Mohammed who polled only 15 votes, while two other contenders, Abdullahi Kukuwa and Ahmed Buba, stepped down for the woman.

Penpushing  further reports that, the Candidate after the results  commended Abdullahi and Ahmed for withdrawing from the race to support her.
