Yoruba Council Worldwide uncovers fraudster proposed fake zoom meeting

The Yoruba Council Worldwide has raised alarm over a plot by a suspected fraudster identified as Stephen to use the platform to defraud unsuspecting individuals under the guise of a fake zoom meeting.
Penpushing reports that the President Yoruba Council Worldwide Aare Oba Oladotun Hassan made this known in a statement adding that the suspected fraudster with phone number +2347033738911 has been phoning innocent people to intimate them of the proposed fake zoom meeting slated for 7pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
The statement emphasised that the council has nothing to do with the fake and illegal proposed meeting and called on members of the public to ignore such invitation as well as any code provided by the alleged fraudster
“This to notify all members of the Yoruba Council Worldwide and all her affiliate organizations to be aware of one stupid Stephen with Phone Number +234 703 373 8911 (An Igbo Boy – most ridiculous and demeaning) calling for a zoom meeting, requesting for a code. Please ignore the fraudster”, the statement stressed
Penpushing further reports that the fraudster as part of the plot called on unsuspecting victims to check their WhatsApp contacts and phones for a privately sent zoom link and code to have access to the illegal  designed meeting
The fraudster in a telephone conversation with one of his targeted victim called for urgency to respond to the sent zoom link and code which should also be forwarded back to him, which is aimed to facilitate attendance at the fake meeting
‘My name is Stephen and I am calling you in respect of a scheduled zoom meeting to hold via zoom this evening by 7pm. A link and code has been sent to you, please check for the code and send back to me to enable us facilitate your attendance at the meeting’, the fraudster emphasized
