Why we endorsed ‘Auxiliary ‘as Oyo State Park Manager Chairman – Ibadan Mogajis

The Ibadan Mogajis, otherwise known as “Authentic Mogajis”  on Sunday explained the reasons why the group endorsed the newly appointed Chairman of Park Managers in Oyo State, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi (Auxiliary), saying that he (Auxiliary) remain the only stabilising factor for the union in the state.

Penpushing reports that the group in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Mogaji Wale Oladoja, which was made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, said it is no more news that Lamidi challenged oppressors of the masses and by extension the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), before he was punished by the past administration in the state.

The statement stressed further that the most important thing and concern of the Ibadan Mogajis is the peace, unity and progress of the ancient city, adding that; “if Auxiliary is a unifying factor, why must we not support him?”

Penpushing further reports that, the Mogajis, however agreed that everybody has their past record which auxiliary is not exempted, but explaining that he has been rehabilitated and refined to a credible, acceptable and reliable leader.

The group in the statement, declared that, Lamidi remains the most experienced among the people vying for the position in the State, stressing that  he had proved that since he assumed office as the Chairman of the commercial drivers’ union in the State.

Penpushing also reports that the group reiterated its support for Governor Seyi Makinde, in as much as he  continues to run a government with human face,emphasisng,”we endorsed Auxiliary because we discovered that he has qualities to stabilize the NURTW in the State. We know the role he played before the government was installed’.

“The most important thing to the Mogajis in Ibadan land is security and protection of lives and properties in Ibadan land. Auxiliary has been rehabilitated and he has proved that in many ways. We are in support of him and the government of the State,” the body said.

Penpushing reports that, the Mogajis  urged people who are not in support of the policies and programmes of the current administration in the State and serving in any capacity to resign without hesitation.
