Two killed during protest against police brutality in Osun State

The protest embarked nationwide by Nigerian youths  on Saturday claimed lives of two protesters when armed thugs launched attack on Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola’s convoy in Osogbo, the State Capital

Penpushing reports that, the sad incident occurred in Ayepe area of Osogbo, while the Governor was addressing the protesters, who embarked on peaceful protest against police brutality, and armed thugs with cutlass, broken bottles and all sorts of weapons suddenly emerged

The Governor while assuring the youth that their demands would be looked into and that he was in support of their peaceful agitations, the hoodlums started hurling rocks and projectiles at the governor’s car

Penpushing reports that, an eyewitness said the Governor narrowly escaped from the attack, as he was rescued from the scene by his security operatives, but two persons were reportedly killed during the attack
