Thunder strike kills 3 federal road safety corps officials in ogun state

The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) Ogun State Command has lost three of its staff in a mysterious manner, as thunder lightening struck them to death in Ilese axis of Ijebu – Ode of the State.

Penpushing reports that, the thunder lightening on Wednesday reportedly entered that commission office situated at the old Toll Gate axis of the town in Ijebu North East local government area of the state and killed the officials..

The eyewitness source said the sad incident occurred while officials of the agency were set to commence morning parade within the premises of the office, adding that as at the time of the incident twelve members of staff were in the office.

Penpushing further reports that, as at the time of filing this reports, the Sector Commander had travelled to the town, to establish the authenticity of the incident, and in the same vein, sources said men of the state’s special security outfit code named “OP MESA” have taken over security of the entire area.

The Command Public Relations Officer, Florence Okpe when contacted as at the time of filing this report  said she could not confirmed the authenticity of the incident, but promised to issue a statement in due course.

Penpushing also reports that, Okpe, however, disclosed that the Sector Commander had hurriedly travelled to the town, to further ascertain what went wrong, stressing that she (Okpe) will issue out statement on return of the command boss.

Meanwhile, sources informed that, traditionalists worshipers (Sango adherents) were reported to have joined the command officials at the scene of the incident in a bid to perform some traditional rites on the corpses before they are released to government officials for burial.
