Prominent Penpushing Platform member Oba Olufemi Ogunleye dies at 79
A frontline member of Penpushing platform and prominent traditional in Ogun State, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade of Akinale in Owu Kingdom of Abeokuta has died on Wednesday at the age of 79, after a brief illness.

Penpushing reports that the monarch, who was also a veteran journalist who had equally produced number of mentees in the journalism profession was flown to London by his children for medical attention when he fell ill about three weeks ago, but later succumbed to death.
The family after a meeting held at the palace in Akinale community located in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State officially announced the demise of the traditional ruler who until his death was a lawyer with focus on mediation and renowned for conflict, peace and resolution.
Penpushing further reports that a statement issued by Dr Kola Adesina on behalf of the family said a programme of events in direction of the burial will be released as soon as possible, which is tagged celebration of a remarkable life of sterling achievements of the monarch.
“With gratitude to God, the entire Ogunleye family of Akinale and Delesolu Compund, Ago-Owu, Owu Kingdom Abeokuta hereby announce the passing unto glory of our illustrious son, father and grandfather, His Royal Highness Oba (Dr.) Olufemi Okesooto Iyanda Adewunmi Ogunleye, Towulade
-1 of Akinale, Owu Kingdom Abeokuta”, the statement said.
“This solemn announcement marks the beginning of the celebration of a life well spent in selfless service to humanity is several sectors. It also kick-starts a list of activities to highlight the remarkable milestones in his life itinerary starting
from the lowly surroundings of Delesolu, Awaye and Oloosii compounds in Owu Abeokuta to the very heights of local and international journalism; public relations practice as well as an impactful
approach to royalty and law scholarship”,
