Ogun state traditional ruler to celebrate 33rd coronation anniversary with 33 hours marathon praise worship

The Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, Oba(Dr) Adedapo Tejuoso is to celebrate his 33rd coronation anniversary with 33 hours non stop marathon praise, programme scheduled to start from  Tuesday ,May 17  till Saturday May 21, 2022 in Abeokuta.

Penpushing reports that Chairman of the Planning Committee,Chief Muyideen Kazeem disclosed this on Monday  at a press conference held at the home of the monarch located within the Government Reservation Area(GRA), in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The Chairman said the marathon praise worship will take place at the Marque of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library from 9am to 7 pm of the following day, adding that all facilities for use at the period have been put in place.

Penpushing further reports that, he explained that, for those outside the town and country, they could as well join the praise worship through virtual transmission of the programme, adding that Thursday has been set aside as rest day

The Ekerin Oke-Ona Egba,  said on Friday ,the traditional ruler will bless his subjects  and the township in his palace located at  Sapon area of the ancient town, and there would be beating of traditional Gbedu drum, which signifies culture and tradition

Penpushing also reports that, he stated that, same Friday, there will be Christian, Muslim and Traditional Services inside the Osile’s palace, as well as chieftaincy installation of some notable indigenes of the town, and the events will be rounded off on Saturday with installation of Senator Lanre Tejuoso, first son of the monarch, as Baba Ijo of African Church Cathedral of St James, Idi-Ape, Abeokuta
