Odua Peoples Congress apprehends five suspected terrorists inside forest

The Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) Oyo State Chapter has apprehended five suspected terrorists and kidnappers, with dangerous arms and ammunitions in the forest reserve where they were allegedly hibernating.

Penpushing reports that .the Congress Coordinator, Rotimi Oluomo made this known on Monday evening, adding the congress members stormed the forest reserve following vital information by the Aare Ona-Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, and subsequently effected arrest of the suspects.

The Coordinator disclosed that, the arrested suspects have been handed over to the Oyo State Police Command as at the time of filing this report, adding that the terrorists and kidnappers that occupied the old Oyo national park have been dislodged by congress in the region.

Penpushing further reports at  Kishi town,  Oluomo recalled that Adams had earlier mandated the congress to relocate to Oke-Ogun region,adding that the directive had yielded results, following apprehension of the suspected terrorist.

The congress boss thanked all the traditional rulers in the region for providing all the necessary information and the police, saying that congress has achieved a lot in making sure that peace reigns in Oyo State.

“As the State co-coordinator of OPC, I must thank our leader the Aare Onakankanfo for giving us the adequate information about the operations of kidnappers and terrorists in Oke Ogun’, he said.

The coordinator also thanked members of congress in Igbeti and Igboho for providing necessary support and logistics for the successful operation, however, called on the state government to gives the congress necessary support in fighting crimes and criminals at all time.
