Obasanjo congratulates royal father, Olufemi Ogunleye on global ambassador award
The former President of Nigeria ,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated traditional ruler of Akinale community in Owu kingdom,Oba Olufemi Adewunmi Ogunleye on his meritorious award of global designation of Global Certified Peace Ambassador.
Penpushing reports that the doctoral award was conferred on the veteran journalist turned monarch by the Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management, at a ceremony held in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
The congratulatory letter personally signed by Obasanjo dated 14 November 2022 said the award testified to Ogunleye’s skills, sterling contributions and the passion that he has exhibited in maintaining peace within his community and environs
“Your consideration for this award testifies to your leadership skills, sterling contributions and the passion that you have exhibited in maintaining peace within your community and beyond”, Obasanjo wrote
“I am proud that you have carried yourself with such a great sense of global citizenship with your dedication, commitment and responsibility to humanity. Of course, there can be no global peace and security unless and until the whole of humanity is allowed stake in an enduring claim to global prosperity”, he added
“Peace is not divisible. Threat to peace anywhere is threat to peace everywhere. I will urge you to continue on this path , because in your selflessness, you inspire greatness in others and remain a great role model for many”, Obasanjo emphasised
