Notorious terrorists’ kingpin, Bello Turji confirms imposing N50million levy on Zamfara community

The leader of the notorious terrorists bandit Bello Turji has confirmed that he imposed a N50 million levy on a community in Zamfara State, just as he faulted the claim of against former minister Ali Panatami that he (Turji) imposed the levy because of killing of his 50 cows.

Penpushing reports the terrorists kingpin made the declaration in a circulated video flaunting a sophisticated rifle, and flanked by his armed foot soldiers many of them dressed in military camouflage and wielding dangerous weapons including an RPG.

The bandits leader explained that he has a video clip of the former minister saying anyone in the government is a non-believer (Kufaar) arguing that ever since he was given ministerial position, he has become one.

Penpushing further reports that Turji berated Bulama Bukarti, a human rights lawyer, Ali Pantami, Dan Bello, a popular Hausa social media influencer who uses satire to expose government corruption and Murtala Asada in his new propaganda video, purportedly recorded on September 10, 2024.

The lawyer, three days earlier in a post on his X handle, noted how Turji, who has had repeated peace deals with terrorised communities and the Zamfara State government, imposed a N50 million tax on Moriki, a village in Zurmi Local Government Area of terror-ravaged Zamfara.

“The people of Moriki town of Zamfara State have managed to convince Bello Turji to reduce the ransom he imposed on them from N50 million to N30 million. This sum is supposedly compensation for the killing of Turji’s cows by the new commandant of the army base stationed inside Moriki’,  Bukarti added

Penpushing also reports that Bukarti on the post on X, added that the terror kingpin gave the villagers till Wednesday, September 11,2024 to make the payment, but Turji disputed the reason the lawyer gave for his action
