Slain Federal Road Safety Corps officer, daughter buried in Osogbo
The remains of Oluwamayokun Lasisi, an officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, and her daughter, Adesewa, allegedly murdered by Victor Fajemirokun and two herbalists were on Friday buried in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
Penpushing reports that it would be recalled that both mother and daughter were reported missing on Sunday, November 2, 2025 after they left their residence at the Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and never returned.
The 38-year-old woman and daughter said to have travelled to meet, Fajemirokun, her manfiriend, ironically organized their death, for alleged ritual purposes and later ran to Ghana where he was later arrested and brought back to Nigeria
Penpushing further reports that, the manfriend of the deceased, when paraded before journalists, explained why he lured the duo to their death in the hands of some herbalists in Osun State.
The 40-year-old Fajemirokun was paraded alongside two herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, at the headquarters of the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo.
Penpushing also reports that the remains of mother and daughter were packed in two white coffins from the morgue of the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo around 10.02am.
The burial service which lasted for about 45 minutes was held at the burial ground of St John’s Anglican Church, Ita-Olookan, Osogbo, while the deceased colleagues and family members could not hold back tears as the remains were lowered.
Penpushing reports that the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun State Command Leye Adegboyega and other officers of the command had joined the convoy that took the corpses to the burial ground for the internment service.
The Vicar, St John’s Anglican Church, Osogbo, Ven. Lekan Salami, in his words of exhortation at the burial service, spoke on the nothingness of life of a man and how it may eventually end, and reading from the book of Tessalonika chapter 4: verses, 13 to 18, charged people to be mindful of the eternity and work hard to reign with God after their earthly journey.
Penpushing further reports that Mr. Tajudeen Dauda, a nephew to the husband of the deceased who spoke on behalf of the deceased family, during an interview with journalists described the deceased as a very good woman.
“The husband (of the deceased) is my nephew. The deceased was a very good woman. We were together for a very long time. We never heard anything bad about her, even when her husband travelled, until the incident happened. Nobody prayed for what happened, but we can’t question God. May her soul rest in peace’, Dauda stated
