Missing pistol after sex in office: Commissioner redploys Divisional Police Officer
The Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigation into the missing pistol of the Divisional Police Officer of Denton Police Division, Adegoke Atilade who was also alleged of having sex with a mistress in his office.
Penpushing reports that, Atilade allegedly detained Jennifer Madueke, said to be his mistress over his missing service pistol after allegedly having sex with her at his office, and thereafter detaining the lady at his station for three days, later transferred her to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further detention.
The police boss was said to have invited the lady to his office on the night of August 27, and engaged her in sex till day break, when the girl left, and later dawn on the Divisional Police Officer when he discovered that his pistol was missing
Penpushing further reports that, a week after the sex escapade, precisely on September 4, the Divisional Police Officer reportedly invited the mistress for them to see again, but decided to detain her, having accused the lady of stealing his service pistol.
The police chieftain was alleged to have tortured the ‘suspect’ in his cell till September 6, asking her to confess to stealing the pistol, and thereafter took her to State Criminal Investigation Department(SCIID) from where she led the police to her house for searching and possible recovering the missing pistol.
Penpushing also reports that, after a search of the lady’s home, the pistol was not found in her apartment, hence, the randy Divisional Police Officer became confused and worried, and later the news of the incident became public knowledge.
The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu in reaction to the ugly development, which was contained in a statement has ordered redeployment of the Divisional Police Officer, as well as investigation into the incident
“This is to inform the general public that the Lagos State Police Command is not oblivious of the reported case of theft of service pistol against one Jenifer Madueke ‘f’ and the allegation of sex in the office against DPO Denton Police Division, CSP Adegoke Atilade. “In the interest of fairness and justice, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered an independent, thorough and unbiased investigation into the case,” the statement reads.
Penpushing reports that, the statement issued by the Command Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu said appropriate actions will be taken against anyone found culpable at the conclusion of the investigation, stressing that justice would be served to all parties.
