Ijesa royal family gives face-lift to late patriarch’s residence, commissions shopping complex
The family of the late business mogul and influential personality in Ilesa town of Osun, State, Pa Emmanuel Kayode-Adedeji has transformed the building left behind by the deceased, into upgraded status, and also constructed multimillion shopping complex in the town.
Penpushing reports that the late Baba Ijo of Methodist Church, Otapete, Ilesa died over 40 years ago and his offsprings have continued to maintain the edifice located at A-5 Ishida street in Ilesa West Local Government, ensuring that the building remain reference place for the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of the deceased.
The immediate offsprings of the deceased led by Engr Sunday Kayode-Adedeji as a mark of honour and in memory of their late father in June 2022, concluded to embark on a face lift of the building by committing millions of naira to the renovation project, and in the same vein constructed twenty lock –up shops to further improve economic and business activities in the town.
Penpushing further reports that the commissioning of the shopping mall took place on January 14, 2023 which was led by prayers conducted by Very Reverend O.A Oke of Methodist Church of Nigeria Diocese, Otapete, Ilesa
The commissioning ceremony attracted number of the family of the late business mogul, as well as guests from within and outside Ilesa town, while residents came in large number to witness the epoch making events.
Penpushing also reports that in an exclusive interview with one of the son of the deceased who died at 104 years, Idowu Kayode-Adedeji said the renovation of the building project started in June 2022, with support of children and grandchildren
‘A-5 project started in June 2022. Family house of 2 bedroom flat was completed to about 75% completion. With the assistant of some of our business friends, we were able to finish in January 2023’, Kayode-Adedeji said
Penpushing reports that he explained that Very Reverend O.A Oke of Methodist Church of Nigeria Diocece, Otapete, Ilesa was at the foundation laying ceremony to pray, and same vein was also in charge of the dedication of the buildings on completions
‘We have 20 lockup stores inside the complex. We thank our brothers and sisters for entrusting the project into our hand. We give God the glory for making it possible for us to finish the project successfully on time’, he emphasized
