Hoodlums raze palace of traditional ruler
The palace of a traditional ruler of Isekke, a community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Emmanuel Nnabuife has been attacked and set ablaze by suspected hoodlums, while he was said not to be around
Penpushing reports that sources said the royal father, like many traditional rulers in Ihiala Local Government Area, resides in Awka, the state capital, due to rising attacks in the council area, particularly against community leaders.
The monarch equally confirmed the the violent attack on his palace stressing that he was far away from the palace when the incident occurred, lamenting that he lost everything he had laboured for in his life, adding that as at the time of filing this report, he is homeless
Penpushing further reports that the Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga, when contacted confirmed the incident adding that the police had begun an investigation into the attack.
‘We are already talking with some eyewitnesses in the area where the incident took place. For now, no report of life was lost and the value of properties destroyed is yet to be ascertained’, Ikenga, a Deputy Superintendent of Police added.
