The chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), Chief Bode Mustapha has declared his support and promised to work round the clock for second term return of Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2023 polls
Penpushing reports that, Mustapha made this known when the Editorial Board of Penpushing media paid him a courtesy call, and engaged him in an exclusive interview at his BM House office located along Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta.
The Osi Egba said Abiodun has performed creditably well for him to have a second term, adding that he would mobilize and use his political strength in seeing that the re-election is fruitful in next political dispensation.
‘I will support Dapo Abiodun in 2023. I lay emphasis on it that I, Bode Mustapha will support Dapo Abiodun for Governor in 2023. What is important to me is that today, Prince Dapo Abiodun is the Governor of Ogun State’, he stated.
‘When people talk to me about Dapo Abiodun and all that, I tell them give me a better alternative in 2023. For the first time, I have a Governor who didn’t jettisoned all the projects he met to start his own gargantuan projects’, Mustapha added
Penpushing further reports that, Mustapha known as a political kingmaker recalled that, when Abiodun contacted him for his first term race, he threw his weight behind him, having being convinced about his competence.
‘And when Prince Dapo Abiodun contacted me and I said, listen, you have tried before, you wanted to go to Senate, If you want to be Governor, I will support you and I will follow you to the end. I was with him to see the Vice President; I was with him to see the National Chairman of the Party.
‘Infact, when we saw the President, the Vice President, I was the spokesperson. What is important to me is that today, Prince Dapo Abiodun is the Governor of Ogun State. You know me, am as frank as I come’.
