Foundation empowers physically challenged in Ibadan

A Non Governmental Organisation(NGO) Care People Foundation has brought smiles to the less privileged with the provision of relief materials to them in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital, emphasing need to show love to the needy.
Penpushing reports that items donated to 56 motherless and orphanage homes across the town during the Annual National Carnival for Disable Persons and Less Privileged, held at Care People Foundation include wheel chairs, sewing machines, grinding machines, cash and food items to mention few.
The President of the Foundation, Rev. Paul Tioluwani otherwise known as Lesekese while speaking with journalists at the event said that the Foundation donated the materials as a sacrifice to humanity, adding that there is need to reach out and affect positively in the life of poor and needy in the society.
Penpushing also reports that, he pointed out that the living conditions of Nigerians is currently in a worrisome state, lamenting over the fate of persons with disabilities and vulnerables if able bodied are struggling to feed themselves.
The President disclosed that the foundation since 1990 has been giving out scholarship to thousands of students, distributed lots of free brand new wheel chairs and established the first indigenous para-soccer pitch in Africa, adding that the foundation also built a multi- million orphanage facilities with schools that accommodates orphans.
“2020 remained the worst year ever when one considered the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected the economy of the nation, as result of all these, we decided to celebrate this year’s celebration in low key arrangements by not inviting thousands of people with disabilities as they used to do yearly but rather invited their representatives to pick up their wheelchairs, sewing and grinding machines, bags of rice, cooked food and financial donations’,he said.
The cleric however appealed to well meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of less privileged people, urging government to go beyond mere promises and brings up impact oriented programme to cushion the adverse effects of poverty in the lives of Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable.
Penpushing further reports that, one of the beneficiaries of the materials, Jude Benedict who came from Vanguard Vocational Center, Ibadan said that materials given to them will served as a succor to him and other beneficiaries, adding that the foundation has been their source of joy over the years.
