A former State Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council Field Operation Department in Ogun State during the last general election, Comrade Nuberu Olufemi, has declared interest on the chairmanship seat of the ruling party in Ogun State.
Penpushing reports that, the grassroot politician said he is vying for the party’s chairmanship position to take All Progressives Congress(APC) to greater heights, and help foster more unity among members to ensure successes in future elections.
The aspirant who hails from Ago Iwoye in Ijebu North Local Government Area, Ogun East Senatorial district of the state, while speaking with journalists on Tuesday called for support of chieftains and members of the party towards his aspiration
Penpushing further reports that, Olufemi pointed out that the support will pave way for the actualization of his dream, explaining that the issue was about the interest of the party and providing solid ground for future elections, adding that he has the requisite knowledge and experience to lead the party on the right path.
“I had always been a chance agent right from my primary school and I do not regret to be one. During my University education which by coincidence was the period of utter military repression and subjugation of the political right of the citizenry, I am happy to recount the very historical roles we played in the restoration of democratic and civil rule’, he stated.
“This issue now is about the interest of our party in Ogun State and providing solid ground for success in future elections. I’m a committed and loyal party man. I have the knowledge, energy and strength to be the bridge builder and unite members to address any challenges’,Olufemi added.
”I have what it takes to lead and mobilise the needed forces across the length and breadth of Ogun State to forge greater unity within our party, make it more formidable and galvanise it for more successes’, he emphasized
Penpushing also reports that, the process to electing the State chairman of the party had already commenced, and election ought to have been held on October 2 but shifted to 16th October, this year.
