Female fresh graduate raped, killed in Edo state
A fresh graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) Glory Adekolure has reportedly raped and killed by yet-to-be-identified persons while on her way home at Iyowa Community, Benin City after processing her clearance forms
Penpushing reports that the 22-year-old lady was tortured by her attackers and after being killed her corpse was later dropped close to her mother’s house, while as at the time of filing this report no arrest had been made
The Commissioner for Communications and Orientation in Edo State, Chris Nehikhare, expressed shock and sadness over the incident in a statement in Benin, explaining that the Governor, Godwin Obaseki has ordered the Commissioner of Police, Funso Adegboye, to fish out the perpetrators of the evil act within the next seven days.
Penpushing further reports that the Edo State Police Command Public Relations Officer Chidi Nwabuzor a Superintendent of Police said the incident was under investigation, adding there have been no arrest as at the time of this report
