Dangote truck rams into shops in Ondo State, many feared dead

A truck belonging to Dangote Group conveying bags of cement, on Saturday suffered brake failure and rammed into shops in Akungba area of Ondo State where number of residents including students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA) were reportedly killed.

Penpushing reports that many other persons were said to have sustained various degree of injury when  the truck ran into them at the institution’s gate, but an eyewitness as at the time of filing this report said number of victims were yet to be known.

The truck was reported to had rammed into a shop at about 6.05pm, while a rescue operations were still ongoing as at the time of this report, but both the Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer Tee-Leo Ikoro, as well as his counterpart with the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC)  Omotola Ogunbanwo, could also not be reached.
