Inspector General of Police congratulates Nigerians on 63 Independence celebration

The Acting  Inspector General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has congratulated Nigerians on the 63rd Independence Day celebration of the country.
Penpushing reports that Egbetokun in the congratulatory message made available by the Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi noted that its a significant day in the nation’s history which symbolizes  collective achievements and resilience as a nation.
The police boss noted that as all Nigerians come together to celebrate this milestone, it is imperative to acknowledge the unity, diversity, and strength that define the great nation as the challenges on country journey to independence has shaped us into a nation that perseveres and thrives in the face of adversity.
Penpushing further reports that commenting on concerns raised from some quarters as to the security of the nation during the celebrations, he assured all residents of Nigeria that the Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with other security agencies, has taken proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of every individual during this celebration.
The Inspector General of Police added that strategic deployments have been made with additional personnel and operational assets to critical areas to maintain law and order and  urged all Nigerians to participate in the celebrations responsibly.
Penpushing also reports that Egbetokun emphasized that they should adhered to all safety guidelines and respecting the rights and property of fellow citizens, and encourages all and sundry to seize the opportunity to reflect on the shared values, renew commitment to a peaceful coexistence, and work together to build a better and safer Nigeria for all.
