Court jails man for stealing pot of stew

A 23-year-old man, Isaac Dumabara, has been sentenced to one month imprisonment for stealing one pot of stew and meat worth N40, 000 from a restaurant  located at Magara Road, Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.

Penpushing reports that, , the Police Prosecutor, Sikiru Ibrahim, had  told the court that  Damubara also stole three gas cylinders, stabiliser and a pair of Adidas shoes ,as well as  a 42-inch television worth N200,000.from the restaurant

The Magistrate S. A Adesina, of the the Iyangaku  in his judgment pointed out that, the offence contravened the provisions of Section 390(9) of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, and having found Damubara  guilty of theft, sentenced him without an option of fine.
