Coronavirus: Obasanjo donates former residence for Isolation centre
Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has donated his former residence located at Presidential Hilltop in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital to be used as Isolation centre for victims of the dreaded Coronavirus disease.
Penpushing reports that, Obasanjo made the offer on Friday and handed over the 32-room facility to the Ogun State Government for immediate take over, as confirmed by his Special Assistant Media, Kehinde Akinyemi.
The former President was also quoted saying he was concerned about the pandemic “and I think those who can in one way or another assist in this situation should do s, while in similar development Obasanjo has provided sanitizers and handwash soap for use by all his guest at his pent house situated at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta. ” .
Meanwhile, the donated 32 rooms’ ensuite facility located off the Presidential Boulevard, Oke Sari, Abeokuta has each of, with a standby generator.
