
Nigerian Institute of Public Relations President, Neliaku to review online publishers authored book
The President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku is to review the book authored by Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) titled ‘Nigeria Media Renaissance: GOCOP Perspectives on Online Publishing’.
Penpushing reports that President of the Guild, Maureen Chigbo who confirmed this in a statement said the ceremony is slated to hold on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The statement made available by the Publicity Secretary of the Guild, Ogbuefi Remmy Nweke added that the event will be chaired by Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi.
Penpushing further reports that he explained that the event holding at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, in addition would serve as a fundraiser for the N2.3 billion GOCOP MEDIA CENTRE, a multi-purpose resource centre featuring a secretariat, 21st-century library, and event halls.
The statement said the reviewer is an accomplished public relations expert, author, and public speaker as well as serves as Chairman of Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR); and has held notable positions, including Senior Special Assistant to the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria (2010-2015).
Penpushing also reports that the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) promotes professionalism in online publishing, upholding fundamental journalism principles, and with 120 corporate publishers as members, it has continued to uphold the highest standards of online journalism.
