Tinubu picks All Progressives Congress Presidential nomination form in absentia

The National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has picked the expression of interest and nomination forms of the party, which was collected on his behalf

Penpushing reports that, Tinubu as at the time of picking the  form on his behalf by team known as South-West Agenda for Tinubu 2023 PresidentialAmbition (SWAGA), was reported to be in Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj

The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Babachir Lawal ,led the groups which include National Chairman of the South-West Agenda for Tinubu 2023 presidential ambition (SWAGA),  James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives, Dayo Adeyeye,

Penpushing further reports that, the group picked the form at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, where the forms are being sold to aspirants at the cost of N100million,while it is recalled that, recently the Director-General of Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), Aminu Suleiman, had disclosed that he had already signed a cheque for the forms.

“I, Hon. Aminu Suleiman (D.G TSO) would like to officially state that I have signed a cheque to the tune of 100 million naira, for the purchase of nomination and expression of interest form for our Leader @officialABAT. God bless,” he tweeted.

Penpushing also reports that,  Lawal while speaking with journalists after procuring the form said the group would not have paid N100 million for the form if they were not sure of winning, just as he said  everyone is free to buy the form of the party.

The aspirant and former Governor of Lagos State will be jostling for the  ticket alongside Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi,(Minister of Transportation) Rochas Okorocha(former Imo State Governor), Chris Ngige(Minister of Labour and Productivity), Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba(Minister of State for Education).

Penpushing reports that, others include Governors Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Ben Ayade of Cross River State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun(former Governor of Ogun State) and  Ken Nnamani(former Senate President).

Meanwhile, it is recalled that, Tinubu had in January declared his intention to run for President after visiting President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja, stressing that  it was his lifetime ambition to rule the country.
