Three shot as obaship tussle turns bloody in Ilawo town of Ogun State.

The controversy surrounding selection of new traditional ruler of Ilawo community in Ogun State has turned bloody as three persons were allegedly matcheted during a suspected sponsored communal clash.
Penpushing reports that suspected sponsored thugs allegedly launched the violent attacks on designated homes in the community forcing residents out to matchet them on broad day light, an ugly development that made many residents running helter skelter for safety.
The matcheted victims who were soaked in blood include Soaga Takiu, Mukaila Akinwade and Sakiru Afoke, and as at the time of filing this report were rushed to a private hospital in the town, where they were currently receiving medical attention
Penpushing further reports that, in the course of the bloody clash, number of residents were seen crying and raising alarm as they hurriedly left their homes under the fear of not being target of the attack by the gunmen, who were openly displaying various dangerous weapons to intimidate the residents and indigenes
The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi when contacted confirmed the incident, adding that some arrest had being made, and that investigation was ongoing as at the time of filing this report
