Suspected kidnappers abduct three cattle breeders in Oyo State, demands 10millon ransom

Suspected kidnappers have abducted three cattle breeders at Idi Ope, near Igangan, in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, demanding N10 million ransom from families of the abductees.

Penpushing reports that the three abducted persons, identified as Kabiru Oladimeji, Kazeem and Soka, were said to be on their way to visit the person who manages their ranches for them when their abductors laid ambush for them and took them away.

The kidnappers, it was learnt as at the time of fling this report had contacted families of the victims after the incident, demanding N10 million before they could be set free from captivity.

Penpushing further reports that, when contacted, on phone, the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, also confirmed the incident, adding that, the three victims were abducted around 18:20hrs on Sunday at Idi Ope village near Igangan.

“Three male victims were abducted around 18:20hrs on Sunday at Idi Ope village near Igangan. The case was reported 11:54hrs on Monday and efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims and apprehend the abductors’, he stated.

Penpushing also reports that, the police spokesman, however, urged members of the public to always report such incidents early to the police so as to assist the authorities in taking prompt action.
