Social worker launches book to address matrimonial issues

The founder of a Non-Governmental Organisation, Hope for New Life, Bolatito Ade-Onajobi has added a new dimension to her passion for bringing succor for the needy, as she launched a book aimed to address matrimonial issues and proffer solutions to the menace

Penpushing reports that, the fourteen chapter book titled, ’Tenets for a Successful Marriage was launched in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital on Saturday, and reviewed by a prolific writer and author Abiodun Lasile.

The chapters of the book include: God’s plan for marriage, beginning of love, getting into marriage, importance of the word of God, importance of wisdom in marriage, role of deceit and deceptive in the house.

Penpushing further reports that, other chapters are: importance of finance in marriage, role of sex in marriage, modelling the destiny of your children, importance of prayer in marriage, conflicts and resolution in marriage, distractions in marriage, effect of house helps in the family and problem of childless couples

The Ijesa born author in her speech explained that her sojourn into writing the book was divine, coupled with incessant crash in marriages, which needs to be addressed before it gets out of hands, expressing optimism that the book was aimed to bring back the lost glory of marriage

‘God ordains marriage, the way you accept it determines your future, whether you will enjoy it or endure it. Marriage is an unknown journey, you know the beginning, but you don’t know the end. A lot of things may and would happen, but one should always put their trust in God’, she said

Penpushing also reports that, Ade-Onojobi pointed out that marriage is very important integrity, stressing that truthfulness and honesty in relationship will build good home, adding that there is need for couple to value each other

‘Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles and state of being wholesome. The two of you should have integrity, without integrity, you can’t have feelings for each other. You will be united if both of you have integrity. Lack of compassion causes a problem in marriage’, she emphasized

‘It takes two together to tango to become husband and wife. One leg cannot take you anywhere, two legs would take you there. It means God wants double things. A marriage that works is when both of you can think together, listen to each other and honour yourselves. Honesty will be the soul of the home’, the author added

Penpushing reports that, the reviewer noted that the contents of the book were full of inspiration, adding that everything about it is God and marriage, stressing that the importance of the book was addressing marriage, and to avoid failed marriage

The reviewer commended the author at her ripe age, to still have time in putting pen on paper to write a 100 page book, and expressed excitement on how the author was able to translate the word ‘CLEAVE’, used in the Bible to meaningful meaning for couples, which stated thus’ Communication, Love, Endurance, Adjustment, Voluntary Service, Excellent Maintenance Services(CLEAVE)

Penpushing further reports that, awards were bestowed on some individuals at the ceremony for their contributions to developmental growth in the society, and they include:  Iyalode of Yorubaland, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, Olori(Dr) Salamat Ajede, and Elder Lagunju Dipe

The other awardees are: His Royal Highness AbdulWaidi Sadiku, Akintayo Akinpelu, Elder Samuel Obe, Mrs Olufunmilayo Olatunji, Chief(Mrs) Afolasade Kokumo, Mrs Kikelomo Oniga and Prince Adegboyega Adebisi
