So-Safe Corps decorates Deputy Commander, Deputy Corps Commanders

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corp, on Monday inaugurated newly appointed Deputy State Commander and two Deputy Corps Commanders.

Penpushing reports that the ceremony held at the corps headquarters in Abeokuta attracted number of dignitaries, officials of the agency and was supervised by the Commander of Corps, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo,

The Commander speaking during the inauguration and decoration of the officers said the promotion was in recognition of their meritorious service, unwavering dedication, and exceptional commitment to the mission and values of the Corps.

Penpushing further reports the agency in a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander, Adegunwa Adegbuyi added that the commander charged the promoted officers to improve on their previous achievements and commitment

The Commander emphasized the importance of dedication and professionalism in line of duty, stressing that the promotion is a new journey and challenge to them.

“Your previous achievements and commitment in the corps speak for you. This elevation is not achieved by chance but hard work. To which much is given, much is expected’, Ganzallo added

Penpushing also reports that the Commander appreciated the Ogun State Government for support especially in provision of necessary equipment and amenities needed in line of duties.

The Commissioner for Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abdulganiyu Hamzat, in his goodwill message encouraged the officers to make use of the prove that their promotion was not made in error.

Penpushing reports that Hamzat who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, said the officers should know that they are now entrusted with greater authority

‘You are now entrusted with greater authority and in equal measure, greater accountability will be required from you. You are expected to bring to bear, your wealth of experience, leadership acumen and professionalism in discharging your duties or the progress of the corps and the security of our dear state’, he stated.

Penpushing further reports that he emphasized the support and oversight of the ministry in ensuring the core functions effectively in tandem with the governor’s mandate and also upholding the highest standard of discipline and integrity is sacrosanct.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Olusola Subair in his remarks confirmed the importance of the So-Safe Corps to the extent that its been able to champion the cause of security in Ogun State

Penpushing also reports that Subir, a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police represented by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Mr. Biyi Odubote, noted that, promotion is a pyramid.

‘As you go higher, the space becomes narrow, therefore, even when every officer is performing, not all will be promoted because of the constraint of space. I encourage all officers of the Corps not to relent in their duties as the state government has always recognized the agency’s impact in the safety of lives and properties across the state

Penpushing reports that the Commissioner, however, presented the officers their letters of appointment and they include DCC Moruf Kolawole Yusuf, (Deputy State Commander), DCC Adedamola Adesina AbdulAkeem (Deputy Commander, Operations), and DCC Odukoya Oluyemi  Ijaoba (Deputy Commander, Intelligence and Investigations),

The Deputy State Commander, DCC Moruf Yusuf, on behalf of the promoted officers appreciated the Commander for the trust bestowed on them and also for the recommendation that facilitated their elevation.

Penpushing further reports that Yusuf in same vein promised that he and his colleagues will not relent in their efforts in making sure that the expected standard will not be thwarted.
