SEVEN YEAR OLD BOY TAKES OVER FROM FAYEMI AS ‘GOVERNOR’ OF EKITI
The boy chatted with Governor Fayemi intelligently, and in addition told the Governor he was ready to be his friend, and visit him at home, and that his mother will bring him on a visit to the home of Governor Fayemi.
Penpushing further reports that, Daniel’s mother Oluwatoyin Adaramodu, did not believe her son when he got home and told her that his new friend, Governor Fayemi, invited him to visit, while a few months after the meeting, Fayemi instructed his aides to re-visit Daniel’s school and bring him to his office.
The intelligent Daniel was accompanied by his mother, and his teacher, Dupe Adeosun, to the Governor’s office in Ado Ekiti, a visit which added value to the life of the boy, who was offered the position of the State Governor for the day.
Penpushing also reports that, on arrival, Governor Fayemi asked the pupil, “Do you remember me, the man who lives on top of the hill?” and in response the boy said ‘Yes’, and, thereafter Fayemi took Daniel to his desk and lifted him into his Chair, pulled him to his desk and shook his hand and addressed him saying “Your Excellency, Sir”.
The Governor then asked his ‘successor’ if he would love to a Governor when he grows up and in swift response Daniel agreed, while Fayemi encouraged him to work hard at his studies so his dream can come true.
Penpushing reports that, the mother of the one day ‘Governor’ said the development amazed her and was elated to see her son sitting on the Governor’s chair, expressing optimism that her child could be Governor in future.
The mother prayed for Fayemi’s success and thanked him for his kindness to her son, while Daniel’s Teacher, Mrs Adeosun, commended Governor Fayemi for inviting her alongside the boy; stating that such gesture would not only encourage other teachers but also raise hope in pupils that they too could become great in future.
