Senator Adeola’s aide killed in Lagos

An Ogun State Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Solomon Adeola has lost his aide, Adeniyi Sanni who was allegedly killed in the early hours of Saturday in Lagos State.

Penpushing reports that a statement by Media Adviser to the federal lawmaker, Chief Kayode Odunaro confirmed the sad incident, adding that as at the time of filing this report the motives behind the killing was still unknown.

The statement said that Odunaro stated that information available to the bereaved All Progressives Congress(APC) Senator in Abuja indicated that Sanni was stopped at a checking point around Berger area of Lagos on his way to his home at Isheri by security agents.

‘He was asked to provide the documents of the car he was driving, which he did through his wife who sent all the documents to his phone WhatsApp. It was gathered that the wife called a while later and the late Mr. Sanni told him they are still checking the vehicle’s paper’, Odunaro wrote.

Penpushing further reports that his apprehensive wife later called on Sanni’s associates to say he could no longer reach her husband on phone necessitating the mobilization of a search party, and that the wife was later called by passersby through the next of nin phone number on her husband’s driver’s license that the body of her husband was dumped around Toyota Bus Stop in Oshodi with gunshot wound.

The statement added that Adeola who is involved in the ongoing ministerial screening at the Senate was shocked beyond words and devastated by the news of the sad incident, as the deceased was his close aide for over two decades.
