Governor Abiodun, Daniel, Mustapha, others to grace first Erebe Day Festival

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun is to lead other prominent dignitaries to the maiden edition of Erebe Day festival scheduled to hold December 12, 2020 at Erebe-Ijebu in Ogun State

Penpushing reports that, the Baaroyin of the town, Yemisi Fadairo made this known in a statement, adding that the Governor is the Guest of Honour while Asiwaju of Omu-Ijebu, Alhaji Sikirulai Rufai will be the chairman of the grand finale of the ceremony.

The statement explained that the traditional ruler of the town Olu-Erebe of Erebe -Ijebu,  Dr. (Engr.) Olusegun Abayomi Lawal stated that the ceremony will take place in his palace by 11.00am.

‘Ogun State Governor, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun is expected to be the chief guest of honour, while Asiwaju of Omu-Ijebu, Alhaji Sikirulai Rufai will be the chairman of the grand finale of the ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, December 12,  at the Olu-Erebe palace, Erebe Ijebu, via Omu at 11am’, the statement reads.

 Penpushing further reports that, Fadairo who is the Chairman, Media, Publicity and Communication Committee disclosed that other dignatries include; former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Senator Lekan Mustapha, traditional rulers, prominent indigenes of Erebe- Ijebu among others.

The statement quoted the monarch as saying “the programme will kick off with prayers and environmental sanitation exercise on Monday, December 7, adding that there will be fre medical services and distribution of palliatives as part of the events.

“This will be followed by free eye medical services the following day as well as free general medical services and distribution of palative to the needy on Wednesday, December 9”, he added.

Penpushing also reports that, the monarch stated that literary competition and the celebration of Molud Nabbiy with the Muslim community will hold on Thursday, December 10, followed by a Jummat prayer and a novelty football match the following day, December 11.

“The grand finale will hold on December 12, with the naming of seven streets, the commissioning of the daily market, hoisting of sign posts at the site of the proposed Erebe Primary Health Centre as well as fund raising and reception, where the community will host Governor Abiodun and other dignitaries. Planned for Sunday, December 13, is a thanksgiving service”, he added.

The royal father  named chairmen of the committees as follows; Akeweje (Alhaji) Ifedayo Ogunlana (chairman, Planning Committee), Mayegun Opeoluwa Ifederu- (vice chairman and chairman of Local Organising Committee), Baaroyin Yemisi Fadairo (chairman, Publicity, Media and Communication), Otun-akinroogun Wasiu Yusuf (Chairman, Security), Otun-agbaakin Babatunde Balogun (chairman, Venue of Grand Finale).

Penpushing reports that, others are Taofeek Gafaar (chairman, Logistics and Distribution), Yeyeluwa Modupe Johnson (chairman, Catering and Reception), Baala Tunde Ogunsola (chairman, Programme Monitoring) and Onibode Adewale, (coordinator/head Traffic and Park).
