Retired Army Colonel loses husband

A Retired Army Colonel, Chief (Mrs) Nike Akerele has lost her husband, Joseph Akerele, an Assistant Superintendent Evangelist, founding Sheperd , Celestial Church of Christ, Navy Parish, Lagos State.
Penpushing reports that the deceased, who was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JOE-Yomi Maritime Services died on Sunday, 6th of June at his Lagos residence after a brief illness at the age of 80 years.
The family in a statement said, wake keep and service of songs will come up on Thursday, 17th of June at Celestial Church of Christ(CCC), Navy Town Parish, Ijegun-Imore, Satelite Town, Lagos, while burial service will be held on 18th of June at the same venue.
The statement added that, this will be followed with internment at Nigerian Army Cemetery, Ojo Cantonment, Lagos and reception at Nigerian Navy Underwater Warfare School, Navy town, Lagos State.
Penpushing further reports that the widow Chief Mrs Nike Akerele who is retired colonel was the first woman from Oyo State to have attained the highest rank of Conel in Nigerian Army.
