Renowned elder stateman, Joju Fadairo becomes Baba Ijo Christ Anglican Church

A renowned elder stateman Dr Olajoju Fadairo has been installed as Baba Ijo of Christ Anglican Church, Obe-Eerin located in Obafemi-Owode Local Government area of Ogun state, a ceremony attended by who is who in the society.

Penpushing reports that the investiture and installation of Fadairo, who was accompanied by his wife, children, grandchildren as well as other family members and well-wishers, was held on Saturday October 26, 2024.

The ceremony conducted by Rt Reverend Samuel Ogundeji, Diocesan Bishop had order of service as processional hymn, praise and worship, call to worship, reading of lesson, prayers, consecration of installation materials, launching towards completion of vicarage and thanksgiving among others.

Penpushing further reports that the Bishop in his sermon explained that role of churches is to promote unity among members, as well as in the church, and encouraged members to commit themselves to regular programs to show that Christian leaders in the community are leading by example

The clergyman man emphasized need for the Baba Ijo to promote evangelism, engage support for the church, as well as encourage parishioners and take it as obligations the renewal of his oath, stressing for God to have chosen him(Fadairo) He knows his capability.

‘God is ready to use you, God chose you to demonstrate His characters. He knows your capability. You must abide in the Lord. For you to bear fruits, you need Jesus. You will give account of the position God has given you. God has given you a responsibility to lead the church to an enviable position’, Ogundeji said.

Penpushing also reports that former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his congratulatory message said the honour bestowed on Fadairo by the church was without doubt, in recognition of the immense devotion and commitment to the service of God which has been the landmark of his career

‘It was with the most sincere pleasure that I received your letter of August 28, 2024 by which you appraised me o your installation as Baba Ijo of Christ Anglican Church, Oba-Eerin in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State. I write therefore on behalf of my family and on my own behalf, to congratulate you on the well reserved honour bestowed on you by the church’, Obasanjo wrote

‘The honour thus bestowed on you by the church is without doubt, in recognition of the immense devotion  and commitment to the service of God which have been the hallmarks of career in the church over the years. Your service to God is well complemented with humanity’, the letter read

‘We will urge you to remain what have always been honest, dedicated, peace loving, committed, God fearing and an apostle of justice, equity, love, righteousness and fairness everywhere. We all rejoice and share with you in the honour of your entry into the special elite class of Baba Ijo in continuation of yur service. We wish you many years of fruitful labour in our Lord’s vineyard’, Obasanjo added

Penpushing reports that Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his part said he was delighted on the installation, adding that the conferment was not just filling a routine position, rather it is a testimony of his (Fadairo) years of ardent dedication, devotion, unwavering faith and love for Jesus Christ

‘It is an attestation of your selfless service to the House of God. You have been extremely courageous, always serving as a rallying point for people in the Lord’s vineyard, becoming a beacon of hope for upcoming generations’, Abiodun wrote

‘I am confident that your wealth of experience and personal attributes of courage, tenacity, selflessness and love for humanity will put you in good stead to discharge the duties of this new role’, the Governor added.

‘I, therefore, felicitate with you and the entire members of Christ Anglican Church, Oba-Eerin on this auspicious occasion. It is my prayer that Almighty God will continue to watch over you and crown your efforts with success, that you may remain a source of inspiration and wise counsel to us all. Once again, please accept my heartly congratulations and assurances of my highest regards, as always’, Abiodun emphasized.

Penpushing reports that the Atona Oodua of Yorubaland, Chief Olabode George, while congratulating the Baba Ijo, pointed out that he has served the people of his community with sacrifice, with genuine love and selflessness, and thanked God for the laudable honour

‘On behalf of myself and my family, I congratulate you on this auspicious occasion of your installation as the Baba Ijo of St Michael Anglican Church, Oba Eerin. You have served the people and your community with sacrifice’, George wrote

‘You have served with genuine love and selflessness. You have demonstrated a firm nobility of thought and action as you interacted with a cultured and discerning people with wisdom, with patience and tactfulness’, he added

‘We thank God for this laudable honour which is in recognition of your service in God’s house, your community and society at large. We also thank your wife and the children because this honour would not have been possible without them. May the Lord bless you and continue to be your guide’, George stated

Penpushing further reports that former Nigerian Ambassador to United Kingdom, Ambassador Tunji Isola was not left out in the pouring congratulatory messages, pointing out that exemplary leadership, philanthropy and dedication to community development had earned Fadairo the recognition, not only in church

‘On behalf of myself and entire family, I hereby extend heartfelt congratulation to Elder Abraham Olajoju Fadairo on his prestigious installation as Baba Ijo of Christ Anglican Church, Oba Eerin, Obafemi-Owode local government area’, Isola wrote

‘Your exemplary leadership, philanthropy and dedication to community development have earned you renowned recognition in Ifo local government area, Egbaland, Ogun State and Nigeria. Your commitment to betterment of society is truly inspiring’, he added

‘As a respected Fiwagbayi of Egbaland and Asiwaju of Ifo land, your contributions to community growth and progress are invaluable. You are also a respected and godly politician with integrity. You are highly appreciated and celebrated simply because of your commitment to ideals that are beneficial to community’, the letter read

‘This distinguished honour solidifies your legacy as a champion of community service, leadership excellence and human development. Please accept my warmest congratulations and best wishes’, Isola emphasized

Penpushing also reports that the notable dignitaries who graced the occasion include Governor Dapo Abiodun who was represented by the Ogun State Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, Chief Olabode George, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Isola, Prince Ronke Ogunremi and husband, as well as

Penpushing further reports that shortly after the church service and installation, the guests of the Baba Ijo were moved to his private residence in the community for reception, where they all wine and dined together
