Presidential race: Yahaya Bello pays N100million nomination fee,to pick form Wednesday
The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has paid the required N100million for the expression of interest and nomination forms for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the presidential election in 2023.
Penpushing reports that the spokesperson of the Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Organisation, Yemi Kolapo made this known in a press statement on Tuesday, explaining that the Governor made the payment to show his seriousness to Nigerians on his quest to emerge as the candidate of the ruling party.
The statement added that the aspirant will on Wednesday be at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja to pick up his form.
Penpushing further reports that the Director-General of the Campaign Organisation, Hafsat Abiola-Costello, also confirmed the development, while it is equally recalled that Bello had on April 2,at Eagle Square in Abuja, formerly declared his intention to run for president.
The Governor who will complete his second term in 2024, it is also recalled while declaring his interest to contest, promised to create 20 million millionaires, if elected.
