Premium Radio Chapel berth in Ogun state, receives letter of recognition from Nigeria Union of Journalists
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has inaugurated a new chapel known as Premium Radio Chapel which membership cut across privately owned radio stations in the state.
Penpushing reports that the inauguration was held on Thursday at Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta with letter of recognition presented by leadership of the Council to the chapel
The union leadership added that members of the Premium Radio Chapel met the necessary requirements and therefore granted recognition in line with union’s constitution and having complied with relevant provisions in Article 3 and 5(f) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Constitution (as amended).
Penpushing further reports that the letter explained that the council shall ensure that the Premium Radio Chapel is accorded recommendation for recognition of the National Secretariat.
Meanwhile, electoral committee was set up shortly after the inauguration which is tasked to conduct maiden elections to various offices approved by the body of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) for the new Chapel
