PRAYERS ONLY SOLUTION TO BRING BACK NIGERIA TO RIGHT TRACK, SAYS GOVERNOR ABIODUN

The Governor pointed out that  prayer is a  promoter of  peace and when there  is no peace, nothing would be  achievable in the country, emphasizing that  his administration believed so much in the efficacy of prayers  because it has helped  and  guided his ‘Building our future together agenda’

“A lot of Nigerians should change their bad attitudes. People can pray but if they have wrong attitudes and beliefs, it counters prayers. Greediness, disobedient and other immoral behaviors are counterproductive to prayers, so Nigerians have to moderate their behaviours to make sure that the things they do are in line with their prayers” he said

The Abeokuta Branch Chairman of Sa’adatul Abadiyya Organisation of Nigeria, Dr. Mudashiru Oguntade, earlier in his welcome speech said the importance of prayer at a time like this cannot be over emphasized.

Penpushing further reports, the Press Secretary of the Deputy Governor Oluwaseun Boye, said the government   stressed the need to offer prayers on daily basis as individuals and families to address various issues such as kidnapping, armed robbery, raping and most importantly incidents of Boko Haram, which occurred virtually every day in Nigeria.

The representative of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, (NSCIA) and Secretary-General of the Council, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede in his remarks  said the special prayer was organised to promote peace, development and growth of the nation.

The Professor emphasized  that prayer was very essential for progress and stability of any nation without which the nation cannot move forward, adding  that, prayer cannot work in an atmosphere of rancor, and sin, enjoining Muslim to shun acts that are capable of causing disaffection amongst the people.
