COURT REMANDS EKITI MONARCH OVER MURDER

In an interview with journalists, two workers of the hotel, Alex Olufunmilayo and Adebayo Odunayo explained that trouble started over an argument between two customers at the hotel, which resulted in gun shot and stabbing of some guests

The Police Command Public Relations Officer in the State, Alberto Adeyemi confirmed the development,adding that one person lost his life in the ensuing crisis

  Penpushing report that following the ugly development, then monarch who is the owner of the hotel was arrested and subsequently arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti over alleged murder

The Defence counsel, Ademola Adeyemi, however, urged the court to grant the accused on personal recognition, but the police prosecutor, Johnson Okunade opposed the bail application and pleaded that the court grant the remand  order as requested.

In his ruling, the Magistrate denied the bail application and ordered the accused person to be remanded in prison pending the issuance of legal advice on the case, and adjourned further hearing till January 8,2018
