Police commence investigations on video showing ‘policeman’ smoking Shisha

The Nigeria Police Force has commenced investigations into the viral video showing an alleged ‘policeman’ smoking shisha, while the investigation will amongst other things seek to forensically establish the authenticity of the video.

Penpushing reports that, the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba made this known in a statement stressing that  the findings will also focus on the true identity of the man in the uniform,  whether he is a genuine policeman or, an impostor.

The police spokesman added that, investigation will equally established if the man was an actor in a movie scene, stating that, ‘while not being prejudicial to the ongoing investigations, it is necessary to state that the character exhibited by the man in the uniform is not a true reflection of who we are as a regimented law enforcement agency – our trainings, discipline, norms and tradition.

Penpushing further reports that, the statement called on members of the public with useful information that can assist police investigations to provide same via the following; [email protected], or ‘DM on our social media platforms’.
